who is the teacher?

Class is in session...

In John 13 we see Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. This action, like the parables that we have been talking about is meant to teach his followers a lesson. In this case, the lesson is that the servant is not greater than the master. And if our Lord and master can humble himself to the point of serving others through washing their feet, and even humbling himself to the point of dying on the cross for their sins then we also ought to serve others.

Today the kids try real hard to show off in class until they realize just who the teacher was and who the students were...

Pride Party

Part 2

This is the week that we finally see what happens...

Pride Party

Part 1

In part 1 we find two different people with the same birthday. I'm pretty sure that most of the details about the parties are made up. But we'll have to see what happens in the next episode...

Inside the Cabin

Just for anyone who has ever wanted to know what it looks like inside the cabin, Chippy the Chipmunk gives us a tour of what it looks like inside!

So come on in and stay awhile

The Parable of the Super Bowl Party

Luke 14:15-24 tells the parable of the banquet. A lot of people were invited but many were thought that they were too good to accept the invitation. And so it went out to everyone. Its the same way with us and God's invitation to salvation. Some people think that they are good enough to get to heaven. So good that they don't need to accept Jesus Christ as their savior, as their invitation to heaven. And so only the poor and needy, only the people who realize that they need Jesus really get to go.

Even though Slither wasn't as cool as Rocky, he is the one who gets to go to the party. That's one lucky snake.

Prodigal Chloe

This week we have another special guest... Susie! And it's a good thing because the forest friends needed a little bit of a reminder of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15. God loves it when those who were lost are found. He never makes them come home, but he always welcomes them with a big party when they are willing to come. No matter how far away you've gone, the Father is watching for you and ready to forgive you. He loves you that much!

Parable of the Lost Penguin

In Luke 15 we hear about the Pharisees grumbling about the people that Jesus was hanging out with. So Jesus teaches these 3 parables. See if you can find out why he is teaching them, the main character is in each one, and what the point of the parable is.

In today's adventure we find a similar story. This time the main character is Chloe, and we learn (hopefully) that Chloe doesn't want to start the party with anyone missing.
