A Forest, A Flock, And A Prophet
Today, our host (me!) takes us through a reenactment of the time Elijah stood up to King Ahab and Queen Jezebel and was willing to deliver God's message. We learned that a prophet is willing to deliver God's message whether it's good or bad news. Also we learned from James chapter 5 that Elijah was a regular guy just like you and me, but he prayed in faith and it didn't rain for 3 and 1/2 years! That means that the power comes from God and not us, it also means that God can answer our prayers too!
The Time Big Ben Learned A Lesson
There is a big ruckus in the forest today as Ben the Bear challenges everyone to a rock throwing contest. He even challenges God! Well Daniel the Rabbit isn't about to stand for that.

A Trustworthy Tarantula
Late one night Penny and Stephen are coming home. The night is dark, its late, and there are all sorts of scary creatures about. At first everyone is scared but then Stephen remembers what the Bible has to say about trusting in God and then they start to see things in a different way...

President O'Beara Comes To Town
Today the forest friends learn that not only is it a blessing to serve others, but sometimes its good to let others serve you, even when you don't deserve it.
who is the teacher?
Class is in session...
In John 13 we see Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. This action, like the parables that we have been talking about is meant to teach his followers a lesson. In this case, the lesson is that the servant is not greater than the master. And if our Lord and master can humble himself to the point of serving others through washing their feet, and even humbling himself to the point of dying on the cross for their sins then we also ought to serve others.
Today the kids try real hard to show off in class until they realize just who the teacher was and who the students were...

Pride Party
Part 2
This is the week that we finally see what happens...
Pride Party
Part 1
In part 1 we find two different people with the same birthday. I'm pretty sure that most of the details about the parties are made up. But we'll have to see what happens in the next episode...

The Parable of the Super Bowl Party
Luke 14:15-24 tells the parable of the banquet. A lot of people were invited but many were thought that they were too good to accept the invitation. And so it went out to everyone. Its the same way with us and God's invitation to salvation. Some people think that they are good enough to get to heaven. So good that they don't need to accept Jesus Christ as their savior, as their invitation to heaven. And so only the poor and needy, only the people who realize that they need Jesus really get to go.
Even though Slither wasn't as cool as Rocky, he is the one who gets to go to the party. That's one lucky snake.

Prodigal Chloe
Parable of the Lost Penguin
In Luke 15 we hear about the Pharisees grumbling about the people that Jesus was hanging out with. So Jesus teaches these 3 parables. See if you can find out why he is teaching them, the main character is in each one, and what the point of the parable is.
In today's adventure we find a similar story. This time the main character is Chloe, and we learn (hopefully) that Chloe doesn't want to start the party with anyone missing.
